Cesc Fabregas post Chelsea interview

Here is Cesc’s full post-match interview following the win against Chelsea You can read his comments below and also see some clips from the Arsenal vodcast

“We showed a different attitude and that is what we want to do from now on,” Fabregas told Arsenal TV Online.

“We have a new momentum, but if we do not do the same, then it is not worth it.

“We want to be competitive again in every game and see where we can go until the end of the season.

“We have shown we can do it, to beat the big teams, so we can have no excuse with not doing it against the rest of the teams.

“We have to be proud of what we did against Chelsea because we are a young side and have had a lot of criticism.”

Fabregas dedicated the result to the unwavering faith of their manager.

“Sometimes the boss has been the only one who has believed in us,” the 21-year-old said.

“He knows what we can do and we proved against Chelsea that he is not wrong.

“Now it is up to us to keep going and doing it game by game.”

It was a good end to Fabregas’ first week as the new captain, following on from the home win over Dynamo Kiev which secured Arsenal’s place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

“For me, all that is important is the attitude of the team, the discipline and the character we show,” he said.

“When you play next to these guys, you can see the effort they put in and that they are not afraid to play against anyone in the league.

“I am really proud to be their captain and hopefully we can keep going like that.”

  1. Thank you Rosie for doing this!!

  2. Thanks Rosie! Robin’s reaction to the second goal really makes me laugh, he was like a puppy dog the way he does that thing with his head haha!! Ah great scenes from the end of the game

  3. thanks! so cute xDDD

  4. thank u so much Rose for putting up tis clip!! :D

  5. gracias!

  6. Cesc is right, the big thing now is to keep it going so that we don’t lose the ground we’ve made up!! Also our kids beat Wigan and it would be a blow to the first teams pride that they wouldn’t recover from, if they don’t win convincingly!!

  7. I saw this on the london paper website

ARSENAL star Cesc Fabregas celebrated his side’s victory over Chelsea yesterday by enjoying a Boujis blowout with Kid Rock.

The duo caught up at the South Ken venue, where Kid was partying after his gig at the Hammersmith Apollo.

“At one point the pair were in the DJ booth spinning records with DJ Sam Young,” an onlooker tells theBuzz.

However, there was no sign of the Chelsea players who had booked tables at the venue.

Obviously weren’t in the mood to party.

Thought you might want to know great website you have here!! =)

  8. awww!! why so sad Cesc you won!! He looks like he losed!

  9. He seems flat. You would think he’d sound a bit up-beat and maybe manage a smile after such a great win… perhaps he was knackered after all that running

  10. Thanx 4 da vidz xD

  11. Thanks Jas I appreciate your posting but I’m not sure whether to add it or not as I don’t know how reliable the London paper is :) So I’ll just leave it in your comment for people to read :D If it’s true I wonder if some of the team were there too, hope so, they need to party together!

Cesc doesn’t seem as happy as I thought he would be after the win… but I wouldn’t say he seems sad, just serious and ‘captain-like’.

  12. Great win for us now we have got to carry on winning for the rest of the season.
Cesc seems very focussed on his captaincy role great job Cesc.
Bring on wigan Arsenal for the cup……

  13. thank u so much Rose for finding da post-Chelsea interview.. :)

    u’re fast & effective.. hehehe.. :P

  14. Ooh! Thanks for the reminder Diane. I forgot to add the cheerleaders ahead of tonight’s match. It just feels like 10 seconds since the last match I can’t keep up lol

  15. congratulations captain, i’ve liked your comments but i will also say that the team always play well on big teams only and relax on these others. if the team continued with the spirit of playing just as they played Chelsea and Manchester united, you would be leading the table. am a good fan to Arsenal but sometimes you lose hope with the way the team plays. otherwise, as a new captain, it’s a challenge that you can cause change. thanks

  16. Thanks for posting this. It’s a good interview. I don’t sense that he is sad or flat just cautious and professional, now that he is captain he has to be very careful in what he says. Also the interviewer is very negative which surprises me for ATVO. He keeps harping on what has gone wrong and there is no point focussing on the past now.

  17. Good words from the captain.

    C’mon Arsenal for the cup!

  18. good luck to the kiddies. Burnley will be quite the challenge but I’m sure they can do it

  19. mj did you see this?

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1091365/Spurs-star-Bentley-real-fan-Arsenals-man-Fabregas.html

Does it count as a compliment went it’s a spud?

Good luck to the lads for tonight. Looking forward to watching them!

  20. congratz for captain cesc !!!

  21. not our day. shame but there you are. the lads did their best. So the FA cup or the Champions League are our best chances now. I’ll take one of those quite happily

  22. Awww bummer! So sad to see our youngsters lose but it just wasn’t their night tonight. Football can be cruel like that.

Thanks George. I’ll add that… tho it is Bentley… lol

  23. I’m still pround of our Carling Cup kids they played some great football and did us proud. They’re still developing but some of them are going to be big names in the future for sure!!

  24. tq for all the info……hope captain fab will shine……fabulous, fantastic, marvellous….and continue to bring good result.
as for the young gunners..they are still learning….hope for the best next to come…
It was 3.40am Malaysia time when the game started…..but i was wide awake hoping for miracle…..alas…it was not arsenal night…

  25. They just couldn’t finish last night. They’re still developing as players and youngsters are always inconsistent,,, last night none of them could hit water if they fell out of a boat,,, they’ll get better though.

It’s a pity but,,, I had hopes for us and a cup is a cup.

  26. TY!! Cute videos XD
