Chelsea 1 - 2 Arsenal
Yeah! Hell Yeah! Can I get a woot! A brace from the amazing Robin van Persie secured a great victory for Arsenal, away to Premier League leaders Chelsea. It was a tough match and an unfortunate own goal from Arsenal’s Djourou sent Chelsea into the half-time break a goal ahead. Still determination and fight from the boys in red and white saw them come back to grab an important victory. View the Match report.
Special mentions must also go to Captain Fabregas, Sagna and in the second half Clichy who all went above and beyond and worked themselves into the ground covering every blade of grass on the pitch for the gunners. FA Cup 3rd round draw: Arsenal has drawn Plymouth Argyle in yesterday’s draw and the tie will be held on the weekend of January 3/4.

I loved the looks on the teams faces at the end of the match it meant so much to them of course and so much to us. Two wins in a row! Now we need to get some momentum going!!! hey Rosie good to see you. I wasn’t sure if you’d be able to get online Glad you got to see the match. It was an epic. A real match of two halves. I have to say I wasn’t exactly brimming with confidence at half-time but then the half-time talks obviously worked a treat as they came out in the second half and left the Chelshit in the dust! Great finishing from Robin. Great way to start Cesc’s captaincy. F**king brilliant!!
I admit I thought we couldn’t do it. But boy did they prove me wrong. They came out with so much confidence in the second half. They were immense after the goals from RVP.
ILY arsenal <3 I have such a huge grin on my face right now. Hopefully liverpool will lose tomorrow.
The real tests are the bottom teams though imo, as they play more defensivly which doesn’t suit Arsenal.I hope Arsenal can keep the momentum going.
And the fans!!!They have made me so proud this season. I swear they never used to be so loud. And at the Bridge as well. I could only hear the Arsenal fans during the last 15 mins or so. they are brilliant. Love them to bits.
And all the players gave their shirts to the fans after. <3 Gallas as well, and the fans cheered him when he approached them to do so. I thought he had a good game today.

Another captain’s performance from the little maestro and they seem to really have lifted their game with him leading from the front! Clichy was immense, Sagna was class, Gallas was sure and steady at the back. As for Robin well what can I say I’ve given the poor lad a rough time after a few games where he missed sitters so now it is only fitting that I pay tribute to the awesomeness that was Robin or should that be arise Sir Van Persie!
Now I’m going to take another asprin and lie down. Typing makes my head hurt.

Cesc played really well, he led by example, tremendous work rate, a lot of good passes, a few great ones and didn’t really put a foot wrong!
well now how about that! That’s only the second time that Chelski have lost at home in four years. We can beat anyone that will play us but we struggle against those who won’t. Teams that prefer to park the bus and play ‘anti-football’ have a chance of picking up points against us. So now the ultimate test of Arsene’s vision how to play beautiful football against ugly defensive teams and still emerge victorious?
I was very proud of Cesc. He was very tightly marked, he had little time and space and was under a lot of pressure but he kept his calm and retained possession well. I agree that Djourou did well, it was a pity about the own goal but he showed guts to keep going and I think he and Gallas worked well at the back.

The game against Wigan is actually even more important now than the game against Chelsea was. After all, each time this team appears to have a false dawn, some of the fans become more feral!

I’m sorry I missed the match because it kicked off at midnight our time and I have to work today ;( but was tossing and turning; in short I slept so poorly I might as well have watched the match! Well done Arsenal!!!

Liverpool drew with West Ham United! Which means we have pulled two point back!! And we are 8 points off the top rather than the 10 we were last week! Arsene Wenger said we aren’t back in it yet but if we can build from here and get a run going and there are more slips up from the leaders, we could at least make a fight of it
